Splashes of Color

Lots of inspiration around here for painting brightly colored flowers, and a few new paint colors arrived on my doorstep yesterday.

Here are some Four O'Clocks and Cleome (Spider Flower) in a hanging vase that took me months to figure out where to hang.  I finally decided it should go outdoors where I cut flowers.  It looks like that Morning Glory vine is trying to find a way in.

And further down, my summer basket arrangement from last night's floral design elective class.  It includes Sunflower, Gerbera Daisy, Sweet William, lilies, Alstromeria (Peruvian lilies), Chrysanthemum, Statice and a few other odds and ends.

I hope you're enjoying all the colors of the season!
